Soldier’s Circle
The cemetery is at capacity with 1,194 veterans laid to rest in Soldier’s Circle. Only ashes of the spouse of a veteran buried here may be inurned; however, no memorial is allowed for the spouse.

Veteran’s Grove
Often referred to as “the new Soldier’s Circle”, the Veteran’s Grove area, located north of Marvin Parkway, is designated for honorably-discharged veterans and ashes of their spouse or veteran child, with the first rows respectfully reserved for those killed in action. Grave spaces in this section are offered at discounted rate to veterans; and there is no “reserve”, as burials occur in order based on the next available space. The VA pays for the upright granite marker and includes lettering for the veteran. If the ashes of the spouse or child are subsequently inurned and a memorial is desired, the family is responsible for the cost of the lettering or placement of an applied marker on the back of the granite marker. Please contact the cemetery office for more information and details.
Memorials & Memorial Foundations
Cemeteries in New York State are permitted to sell bronze memorials. Granite or marble memorials may be purchased from a monument dealer. (NOTE: We do not recommend marble memorials as they are brittle and erode easily). You may purchase bronze, granite, or marble (if desired) from any source you wish, providing they meet our specifications for size, style and durability.
The bronze memorials offered by Lake View Cemetery are available in several sizes. We invite you to call or stop by our office to view samples and the manufacturer’s brochure for many of the available options.
All memorials are installed by Lake View Cemetery. The cost of a foundation and/or installation is payable to Lake View Cemetery, and varies depending on the size of the marker. Any bronze markers purchased from and installed at Lake View Cemetery carry a reduced installation charge.
Any bronze memorials purchased from outside sources will require a foundation/installation charge payable to Lake View Cemetery.
